Welcome to our vacation accommodation "Beim Posthalter". Our house is located in the heart of Oberammergau. In the part of the building built in 1898, we rent two lovingly furnished double rooms and a vacation apartment to guests who appreciate the charm of times gone by. Enjoy the most beautiful days of the year above the roofs of Oberammergau and admire the view of the village and the Ammergau Alps from your accommodation.

Oberammergau is famous for its Passion Play, which takes place every ten years... But our town and the whole region have much more to offer. Our house is the ideal starting point to explore Oberammergau and the surrounding area. All year round there are various offers for young and old, for singles, couples and families, for those seeking peace and quiet as well as for active or culturally interested holidaymakers. The Ammergau Alps Nature Park invites you to take part in a wide range of sporting activities. Hike through the moss or along the beautiful hiking trails, explore the surrounding mountains or enjoy the peace and quiet of nature on a bike tour. In winter, you can go skiing, cross-country skiing and much more locally. The Linderhof and Neuschwanstein castles of King Ludwig II, the Ettal monastery or the Wieskirche church are certainly worth a visit in addition to the sights in Oberammergau. Cultural events such as theatre performances and operas also regularly take place in the town. With a guided tour of the town, you can learn about the history of your holiday destination. In the Pilatushaus, you can watch in the living workshop how the wood carvings typical of Oberammergau and many other things are made. The Oberammergau Museum is also a great way to learn more about our village. For younger guests, the Kolben Aktiv Arena with the Alpine Coaster or the "Wellenberg" swimming pool are certainly a highlight. There is also a lot to discover in Unterammergau at the Steckenberg adventure mountain. There are playgrounds in every village in the Ammertal and here and there you will find forest adventure trails.
